Industrial designer Todd Bracher is a favorite at the annual NeoCon show and this year too he will showcase his latest works. At the NeoCon 2011, keep your eyes open for the Nest Seating Collection created to enhance social connection, nurture collaboration and respect the desire for personal space which comprises of lounge seating, side chairs, and even occasional tables. The collection has been designed for Hickory Business Furniture and reiterates the company’s commitment to sustainability as they use recycled wood and seat cushions made from a bio-based foam. The nest collection is also available in polished stainless steel and is ideal for home offices or commercial spaces like waiting lounges.
The beautiful combination of the mesh back and steam-bent wood gives the lounge chairs a sense of lightness and sophistication, while the gracefully slanted arm and polished aluminum swivel bases facilitate engagement between members of a group. The metal base is standard on lounge seating; the side chairs are available with both the four-star base and maple legs. An ergonomic low back and the tension in the mesh material naturally support relaxed and upright sitting postures.
